Water distribution system

The Kaveri River is a significant water source for several states in South India, including Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Water distribution from this river has been a subject of both cooperation and conflict between these states due to varying demands and water availability. Kaveri Water Distribution Overview: Source of Water: The Kaveri River originates in the Western Ghats in Karnataka and flows through Tamil Nadu before emptying into the Bay of Bengal. It is a crucial water source for both states. Water Allocation: The distribution of Kaveri River water between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu has been a contentious issue for decades. The Kaveri Water Dispute Tribunal was established to resolve this issue. In 2007, the tribunal issued a final award, allocating specific amounts of water to each state. Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry were allocated water based on their needs and the river's flow. Water Distribution System: The water from the Kaveri is used for irrigation, drin...

how water comes inside coconut ?

Coconut water is a fascinating natural product that forms inside the coconut fruit. Here's how it happens: Coconut Formation: The coconut fruit starts to develop from the flower of the coconut palm. Initially, the fruit is filled with a clear liquid known as coconut water. This happens during the early stages of the fruit's development. Function of Coconut Water: Coconut water serves several purposes. It's a nutrient-rich fluid that helps nourish the developing seed. It also acts as a reservoir of essential nutrients and growth hormones for the embryo inside the coconut. Nutrient Absorption: As the fruit matures, it absorbs water from the surrounding soil through the palm tree's roots. This water travels through the tree and into the coconut fruit. The water is then processed and stored inside the fruit. Change in Composition: Over time, the composition of the coconut water changes. When the coconut is young, the water is clear and slightly sweet. As the coconut ma...

Why sky is blue ?

Image
have you ever wondered why sky is blue this is due to an phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering. Here's how it works: Sunlight and Atmosphere: Sunlight, or white light, is made up of many different colors of light, each with different wavelengths. When sunlight enters Earth's atmosphere, it interacts with the gases and particles in the air. Scattering of Light: Shorter wavelengths of light (blue and violet) scatter more than longer wavelengths (red and yellow). Rayleigh scattering is more effective at shorter wavelengths, so the blue light is scattered in all directions much more than the other colors. Perception of Blue Sky: As a result, when you look up at the sky, you see more of this scattered blue light coming from every direction, which makes the sky appear blue. The sky can change color at different times of the day due to the angle of the sun. For example, during sunrise and sunset, the sunlight has to pass through a thicker layer of the atmosphere, scattering the sh...
